Krka National Park was formed in 1985 in order to protect natural riches of the landscape. It spreads over 109km squares which makes it the 4th largest national park in Croatia. Extremely low levels of polution in this region has led to a huge range of organic life. The main attraction of the park is its waterfalls. Krka has several areas that feature this natural phenomenon with Manojlovac being the tallest and often considered the most beautiful of all the waterfalls in the park. Due to being one of the most visited tourist locations in the country the government had to limit the number of visitors to insure the clean environment. The one feature that makes Krka special is the fact that swimming is allowed in certain areas of the park.

Šibenik is one of the oldest cities on the Adriatic coast
located north of Split. It was the capital of Croatia in the
period between 1944 and 1945. Due to its position on the coast
of Adriatic sea Šibenik is blessed with warm weather and sunny
days whole year long. In fact, The Guardian, one of the most
influential and respected newspapers in Great Britain,
proclaimed Šibenik in 2018. as the best coastal city to live
in Southern Europe. Šibenik is also one of five cities in the
world with two UNESCO Heritage Sites. St. Nicholas Fortress
and The Cathedral of St. James are one of many architectural
creations located in the city that are worth visiting.
Zadar is located north of Split on the coast of the Adriatic
Sea. The city is full of history which can be experienced
through Roman and Venetian architecture. The Italian influence
on the city architecture should not come as a surprise since
Zadar was sold to Venice in 1409 for 100 000 ducats. The city
was under the rule of Venetians until the fall of Venetian
Republic in 1797. This occurrence was remembered in history as
the „shameful sale of Dalmatia“. Perhaps the biggest
attraction and most unique experience in Zadar is the Sea
Organ, architectural sound object and experimental musical
instrument. It is designed as group of pipes within the stone
steps that play random tones when encountered with sea waves.

Mostar is located on the banks of the river Neretva and is the
fifth-largest city in Bosnia and Hercegovina. The name Mostar
derives from the most famous attraction in the city „Stari
Most“ which simply means „The Old Bridge“. The bridge was
constructed by the famous Otoman architect Mimar Hayruddin on
the orders of Suleiman the Magnificent. Construction was
completed in 9 years and the bridge stood for 429 years untill
the war in Bosnia and Hercegovina. It was reconstructed and
re-opened in 2004. Shortly after it was inscribed on the World
Heritage List. Today, jumping from Stari Most is a competitive
sport. It is possibly the oldest diving competition that takes
place every year. With one of the most unique designs in the
world The Old Bridge attracts hundreds of thousands of
visitors each year.
Međugorje is a town located in the south of the country and is
one of the most famous Roman Catholic sacred places in the
world. It attracts hundreds of thousands of pilgrims each
year. The city became famous in 1981 when six young people
claimed the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to them. She told
them the God is real and called for world peace. Since then
the Virgin Mary has appeared daily and instilled faith into
countless visitors.
